Traditional style seaside four star self catering holiday cottages (local beach approx 10 minute walk) Located approx one mile from Castlegregory village on the Dingle Peninsula in Co Kerry. Nine holiday cottages on a 3 and a half acre site with a 5 bedroom cottage 5 bath/ shower room cottage (No 12) on an adjacent site. The cottages have open fireplaces & handcrafted tables & dressers. Each cottage is large, well equipped, detached and has a good sized garden. The AmenitiesKERRY COTTAGES AMENITIES INCLUDE:
All with open hearth fireplace. Fully equipped kitchens with fridge, oven, dishwasher, automatic washer dryer, microwave and coffee percolator. Kitchens are equipped to 4 star standards with full cutlery/ crockery and cooking equipment. Television, radio and dvd player. All windows are double glazed. Nos 8 and 5 have storage heat, instant electric heat and open fire. No 12 has oil fired underfloor heating and open fire. Cots and highchairs at extra by arrangement.

GOLF There are 9-hole courses in Castlegregory near Lough Gill lake, ask at Tomasin's Pub on the road towards the Connor Pass from Kerry Cottages, and at Dun an Oir (ten miles from Dingle).There are two 18-hole courses at Tralee, and also courses at Killarney, Ballyferriter, and Dooks, and an 18-hole seaside links at Ballybunion (21miles from Tralee).
HORSE RIDING Goodwin's family run school on the Maharees. El Rancho riding stables near Tralee. Pony Trekking from Castlegregory Village, ask in the Post Office/ Tourist Office for details.
CYCLING Cycling is a magical experience in the Dingle Peninsula, with miles of peaceful coastline to explore at your leisure. Bicycles are available to rent in Tralee.
WINDSURFING/ SURFING The mighty Atlantic waves make ideal conditions for windsurfing at BrandonBay. "If I had to recommend one area...it would have to be the Dingle Peninsula" -Peter Harte, Afloat Magazine.School and hire available locally Jamie Knox at Sandy Bay.

SEAWORLD To view fish of the Atlantic and many others visit Seaworld in Dingle.
NATURE WALKS The walks on the miles of sandy beaches, around Lough Gill and at Glenteenassig Forest Park with its seven lakes are all of spectacular beauty. The Information Centres at Castlegregory and Cloghane should be able to advise about local walks and about any guided walks.
ANGLING Inch: Beach fishing for bass and flatfish. Dingle: Rock fishing for pollack, wrasse, coalfish, bream, conger, ling, tope, cod, whiting, huss, spurdog, gurnard, pouting and shark. Deep sea fishing available. Cloghane: Shore fishing for wrasse, pollack, mackerel and conger. Estuary fishing for ball and flounder. Ventry: Beach fishing for dogfish and bass. Ferriter's Cove: Flounder. Smerwick Harbour: Bass and flatfish. Ballydavid: Pier fishing for conger. Castlegregory area: Beach fishing on Brandon Bay for bass and flatfish at Fermoyle, Kilcummin, Stradbally and the Maharee Peninsula at Scraggane Bay. Tralee/Fenit: Inshore fishing for ray, tope, monkfish, dogfish, pollack and skate. Pier fishing for dogfish, ray, conger, pollack, bass and mullet. Shore fishing for bass, ray, turbot and tope. There is some good trout angling in the lakes of the forestry park at Araglen, and at Lough Gill. Ask in Keanes foodstore about boats and licences. Pedlars Lough near the top of the Connor Pass - Ask in Tomasin's Pub. For deep sea angling you may go out with Mr John Kennedy, he lives near the harbour at Fahamore.
OFFSHORE ISLANDS Situated off Slea Head, the Blasket Islands are known as the last outpost of Europe and the nearest parish to America. There are boat trips from Dunquin to the largest island - the Great Blasket, ask at the Tourist Office in Tralee. The Maharees or Seven Hogs just north of the Maharee Peninsula may be visited by boat. On Illauntannig island there are remains of a small monastic settlement with an oratory and stone huts surrounded by a wall ask at the Harbour or Post Office in Castlegregory. Visit the Skellig island, with early Christian Monastery, boats from Valentia or Waterville. Mountain Climbing / Hill Walking Caherconree 2713 ft. (827 mtrs), one of the highest of the Slieve Mish Mountains, can be climbed from Camp. Beenoskee and Stradbally Mountains can be conveniently climbed from Stradbally village, three miles from Castlegregory. Cloghane is the best centre for climbing Brandon Mountain the second highest mountain in Ireland. It is 3127 ft (951 mtrs).
BEACHES The best local beach is only minutes away -walk down towards the sea turn right at the crossroads, cross the footbridge over the ford, cross the sand dunes and you are on the beach. Sandy Bay a quiet beach half way up the Maharees Peninsula. Brandon Bay/ Stradbally beach the other side of Castlegregory village guarantees large waves for surfing.
BIRD WATCHING AND NATURE RESERVE There is much to interest the bird lover. Chuffs, gadwall, ducks and gannets can be seen on the cliffs and along the seashore.There is a nature reserve at Lough Gill Lake and along the sea road from the cottages to the village. There are Natterjack toads in the locality these are the only toads in Ireland and this is the only area in which they are found.
DINGLE DOLPHIN Fungi the friendly Dolphin lives in Dingle Harbour, you can go out in boats to see him and you can hire wet-suits to swim with him.

Distances / DirectionsDISTANCE FROM TRALEE AND DINGLE: Only approximately 25 minutes to Tralee and Dingle.
AIRPORTS Kerry Airport: Farranfore is near Killarney approx. 40 mins drive. Cork Airport: near Cork City is approx. 2 hours drive. Shannon Airport: approx. 2 hours drive. Dublin Airport: Approx 5 hours drive.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS From Tralee take the road for Castlegregory, you follow the signs for Dingle and then the signs for Castlegregory from near Camp village. It is almost a straight road the whole way and is approximately 16 miles / 24 km in total from Tralee. About 4 miles / 7 km after Camp village you pass Keane's foodstore and petrol station on the left side of the road, continue on for approximately 1.2 miles / 2 km you will see signs for Kerry Cottages at a cross roads, and you must turn right down towards the sea. If you reach a fork in the road with a sign to Castlegregory and Dingle / Conor Pass and a shrine with a statue of the Virgin Mary at the junction you have gone too far - retrace your steps back for about 350 metres and you will come to the crossroads, the cottages are about 450 metres down towards the sea.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES Arrival time is between 1600 and 1800 (4 p.m. & 6 p.m.) Departure time is 10.00 a.m. on Saturdays.
